Barefoot Beach
In Bonita Springs is another of our favorite beaches - especially when it comes to shellfish collecting: Barefoot Beach. The car ride (approx. 55 minutes) is already a highlight. You first drive the same route as to Lovers Key State Park via Estero Blvd., several miles along the beach, and always have great views of the sea and the directly adjacent beach villas. Immediately before the destination you drive through a "gated community", which is very nicely laid out with beautiful villas. You only pay 8 USD per car per day and can then stand in a large parking lot. Wooden paths lead to the beach, which is equipped with toilets, a snack bar and showers. We have already found many great shells on our holidays - but we clearly had the best yield here. For us it is also a real Florida highlight and a must-do on every vacation!
